Who is
Steven Vreden?
Psychologist. Creative producer. Cultural futurist.
Co-founder of the First Noble Institute — and a builder of worlds that inspire, educate, and transform.
Steven creates immersive experiences, stories, and spaces where people from all walks of life can grow, imagine, and reconnect — with themselves and with each other.
From Afrofuturistic narratives to virtual realities, his work invites you to see the world — and your place in it — through a new lens.
There is much more…
Steven’s mission is to help people reclaim their stories and unlock their gifts — building a global community where every story matters and everyone can show up fully.

Early Life
From the start, Steven didn’t just ask questions. He asked the kind that made adults pause. Why do people stay in relationships that hurt them? What makes a story unforgettable? Why do some voices shape history while others are erased?
As a child, he was drawn to books filled with myth, memory, and meaning. World history fascinated him, not just for what happened, but for what was missing. African legends and speculative visions of the future sparked his imagination, while human behavior and emotional truth held his attention like few other things could.
What began as quiet curiosity slowly became a compass that still guides him today.
That same mind, both analytical and imaginative, now fuels everything Steven creates. Whether helping people heal in his psychology practice, writing Afrofuturistic stories, or building immersive experiences with the First Noble Institute, his work always circles back to one purpose: helping people reclaim their power and imagine new ways of being in the world.
Career
Steven is a multidisciplinary creative, psychologist, and educator whose work bridges science, culture, and storytelling. As a creative producer, he merges academic insight with artistic vision to shape transformative experiences across media, education, and the arts. With a background in Psychology, Sexology, and World History, he crafts projects that are as intellectually grounded as they are emotionally resonant.
As Co-founder, Creator, and Creative Producer of the First Noble Institute, Steven leads initiatives at the intersection of Afrofuturism, culture, and innovation. His versatility allows him to shift fluidly between roles — from lecturer and life coach to storyteller, public speaker, and consultant — always with a sharp analytical lens and a strong human focus.
His portfolio includes HIS STORY OF THE WORLD a literary series co-created with his brother Gerald Vreden; Rise of the Mafu, a visually striking Afrofuturistic graphic novel; and SANKOFA, a multiplayer immersive Virtual Reality experience developed with Theater Utrecht and Innovation:Lab. Across these productions, Steven builds bridges between narrative, heritage, and emerging technology.
Through international collaborations, he continues to connect people, platforms, and stories across disciplines and geographies — always working to reimagine what’s possible.

Psychologist
Steven is a certified psychologist with a deep belief that healing happens when we bring the body and mind back into dialogue. His work blends science and intuition, drawing from both evidence-based methods and complementary techniques that honor the full complexity of being human.
Instead of treating symptoms in isolation, Steven looks at the larger system — relationships, culture, history, and the nervous system itself. His holistic and systemic approach often leads to breakthroughs where conventional treatment has reached its limits.
At the heart of his practice is a simple but radical idea: healing is not about fixing what’s broken, but reconnecting with what’s already whole.

As a recurring expert on Married at First Sight – Match or Mistake (RTL/Videoland), Steven brings clarity, compassion, and science to one of the most intimate spaces in people’s lives: relationships.
In this hit reality series with a multi-million audience, he supports couples as a expert in sexology, intimacy, and emotional dynamics. With both psychological insight and grounded presence, Steven helps participants navigate complex relational challenges, from first impressions to lasting connection.
Seasons 1 and 2 are now streaming on Videoland.
Co-founder and Creative Producer
As Head of Media & Education at First Noble, Steven leads and oversees the creation of digital content and educational programs. As co-founder, former Chairman of the Board, and Creative Producer, he plays a central role in shaping First Noble’s platforms, artist collective, events, and productions — including the His Story of the World book series, the Rise of the Mafu graphic novel, and the Shared History of the World experience.

Giving back
For Steven, giving back is part of the mission. Whether mentoring youth, speaking in classrooms, or supporting grassroots initiatives, he aims to empower the next generation with knowledge, creativity, and confidence.
He once coached youth handball teams — not just to compete, but to help players grow in resilience and self-belief. Today, he leads workshops on Afrofuturism and African heritage, helping others reconnect with history and reimagine the future.
He supports programs that celebrate culture, strengthen community, and open doors for young people across the Caribbean and the diaspora.
